Services

What we clean

Soft wash for siding, real pressure for concrete, and no rushing on any of it. Most homes pair a few of these on one visit.

Soft wash

House Wash

Low-pressure soft wash for vinyl, brick, and painted siding. Takes off the green algae, mildew, and road film without hurting paint or trim.

Get a quote

High pressure

Driveways & Sidewalks

Done with a rotary surface cleaner, so you get an even finish instead of stripes. Good for salt stains, dirt, and the dark film on older concrete.

Add-on

Exterior Windows

Glass, frames, and sills. Most people add this to a house wash so dirty windows don’t stand out against clean siding.

Wood & composite

Decks & Patios

Wood and composite, cleaned at a pressure that won’t raise the grain or gouge the boards. Takes off the gray and the grime.

Add-on

Gutter Clean-Out

We clear them out, flush the downspouts, and can wash the outside faces too if they’ve gone gray or streaky.

Add-on

The Little Extras

Garbage cans, patio furniture, fences, a camper. Easy to add on if we’re already there.

The person who quotes your job is the one who shows up to do it. No subcontractors.

A clean wood deck behind a house

About

Hi, I'm Nic

I started Good Works because I like work you can see. You finish a driveway or a deck and it looks different than it did when you pulled up. The name comes from Matthew 5:16, where Jesus talks about letting your light shine so people see your good works, and I think that applies to washing a house as much as anything else.

I came to this from a career in tech. The main thing I learned there was to listen first and then do what the customer actually asked for. I'll tell you straight what I'd do with your house, and then I'll do exactly that.

This is a brand new company and I'm not going to pretend otherwise. My first season starts in spring 2027, and I'm quoting and booking now. I do the slow, detailed version of this work.

  • I quote every job, and I’m the one who shows up to do it
  • You get an itemized price in writing before I start
  • If something isn’t right, I come back and fix it

I work in Appleton and around the Fox Valley. Call or text me at (319) 389-5740 and you're talking to the guy doing the work.

When can you do my job?

Our first season starts in spring 2027. You can get a quote and book a date now, and we’ll confirm it again the week before.

How do you price a job?

It depends on the size of the house or surface, what it’s made of, and how dirty it is. You’ll get a written, itemized price before we start. We spend more time on each job than most, and the price reflects that.

Will this damage my siding or windows?

No. Siding, trim, and windows get a soft wash, which is soap at about the pressure of a garden hose. We save high pressure for concrete.

When should I get my house washed?

Winter leaves salt, sand, and road film on everything, and summer humidity grows algae on the north side of the house and anywhere that stays shaded. For most homes, once a year in spring or early summer is plenty.

Can you do more than one thing on the same visit?

Yes. Most people pair a house wash with the driveway or windows. One visit, one setup, and the whole outside of the house matches when we’re done.

Are your products safe around gardens, pets, and the lawn?

Yes. The soaps are biodegradable, and we soak your plants with water before and after. We just ask that pets stay inside while we’re working.

Do we need to be home?

No, most people aren’t. We need an outside spigot and the windows closed. We’ll text you photos when we’re done.
